You ever wonder why they were red? Maybe it had something to do with the outdoors...didn't want to surprise someone into taking a sight shot. Look! Over yonder! What is that thang!
That's an interesting question. One of life's mysteries probably. Though I don't think it was long before whoever invented them did realize that the flap was a necessity.

They were originally called Red Union Suits. And red was chosen because back in earlier times when a person got stuck out in the woods, stripped down to nothing but their skivvies, it was obvious that they were in some sort of a bind. Producing union suits in red helped make this situation a little more obvious. (gotta love the internet)

Well, unless this thread involves Teddy and I in compromising situations in public places in various stages of undress, with police tapping on our shoulders .... then I'm afriad your thread does not live up to it's name ....

After pondering the cryptic opening to this thread, I’ve come away with 3 possible theories:

1. After some heated discussions, Hossenpepper wanted to create a feel-good thread where fans of SKMB could expresss the simple pleasures they gain from participitating in a forum created by Stephen King for his fans. A thread where everyone could share with each other what makes them happy, share enjoyable life experiences with one another, share anything that provides them merriment in any given moment in time, or just share being the goofball that lies within us all.

2. A dieobolical experiment conducted into "Hoss’s Law" that states given enough time and as an online discussion grows longer, every discussion – regarlesss if its positive, happy or benign, will inevitably turn it into a heated debate over politics, society or other Hot Topics by some passionate over the important current events of the day that shape our lives.

3. I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, and I’ve watched National Treasure waaayyyyy too many times. :moon:

The answer is yes!

"...and in the end, it simply was because it was..." ~ hossenpepper, just now
