I am sooooo frustrated. I spent a month or so working on a Christmas stocking for the grandbaby due this spring. Then one day, my hands were all chapped, and I didn't notice one place had cracked open and I got blood on the material. Tried for about a week to get it out, but when held under natural light, there was still a very slight yellow tinge.

Went out and bought new material. It was to small.

Went out again and bought new material, but can only buy by the half meter...so much more expensive then it should have been.

Worked on it for a week or so. Then yesterday I noticed, one section is one space over from where it should be.

See that red/orange blob on the right? That entire section has to be pulled out stitch by stitch, then re-done, one space over. I am never going to get this finished.

NOTE TO MOD: if there is a general venting/bad day thread, please move this into it. I thought there was one, and I looked, but I couldn't find it.

As Ms Mod suggested the peroxide would have removed the blood. I've used it several time before and it worked like a charm.

Now . . .slow down and make that grandbaby the perfect gift. OK?

Well then I'm angry today because I can't talk about God and Jesus Christ wherever and whenever I want. That 100's of 1,000s died that I might have freedom of speech and freedom of religion. That those lives have now been lost in vain because I now don't have that freedom. So now I'm doing what the thread is about. That's tidy, right?

If your belief is strong it does not matter where you are allowed to talk about God --or when, because He is with you regardless and those that want to follow will not require preaching. I'm not sanctified and holy but I do believe.

If your belief is strong enough in His Word, then, you really don't have to say a word . . .you show it by living.

You're still cool with me Doc.

Should I be worried about you and Ms. Mod knowing this about the blood stains...? It's just that whole 'you know people'... and she's 'got a wood-chipper' thing. :biggrin2:

I like having a place to be a Catholic freakshow around my SKMB friends. But I do manage to keep it to the Religion section - just in case you don't want to see it. Since ya'll are my friends, I like to discuss all matter of things here.

edit: should that be all "manner" of things? I forgot the saying. Ah well, you get me, right?

Tidy. And you do have that freedom. Just please do it in the religion thread. The Stephen King message board isn't your personal pulpit.
Ok, lets recap. I made a comment to HollyGolightly in strict reference to faith that I know she has and appreciates, if her liking the comment is any indication. Then I was told to keep any thing associated with God in "Religion", as if being a person of faith is something I just keep in a box and isn't something I am. Now you're saying that the SKMB isn't my personal pulpit, when I wasn't preaching when I was talking to Holly. But the SKMB is my personal pulpit, I preach a lot in the King JV thread and other threads. I hadn't been in this thread until you started making demands, so I really have to thank you for that. But don't worry, you can just employ the next level of control, censorship and then exile. If that doesn't work, and quiet "those people" down you can move up to murder. Just let me know if you need my address.

You're still doing it. :biggrin2:

And you know full well I didn't mean any of those things you're insinuating. Dana Jean has covered the wherefore and why's so I won't repeat. :)
Of course you didn't mean them. But you did them. Whether or not you know it. Been listening to the news lately? It's happening all over the place in the name of political correctness, to out and out censorship.

You've been allowed to "preach" in the other thread because it is specifically for Religion. That is an appropriate place for it. You are not being censored, controlled or exiled by requesting that you keep your religious ministry in that area. This is a secular board that allows discussion of many topics, including religion, but it is not a place to push one religious way of thought over another.

It certainly is! And thank the stars that most people are open-minded enough to accept those that DO. Isn't that something?
The People have always been accepted, but the behaviors are not always. You get different types claiming different things, but it's like anything else. You've got good car mechanics, you've got incompetent car mechanics, ones that know what they're doing, ones that think they know what they're doing and ones that are only trying to rip people off. It's the same everywhere and in everything.

And who decides what behaviors are "acceptable"? If it is not acceptable to one group of people they certainly have the choice not to engage in that type of behavior but it does not mean they have the right to force their beliefs about what is "acceptable" onto others who do not agree with them.
