Stay safe, Flake! Please let us know how you are when you can. (((((FlakeNoir)))))

Last night I dreamed of a tsunami and people running for higher ground. I hope Flake isn't near this.

Hi guys, I sent a message to DJ this morning, haven't had time to write I'm sorry. My family are fine... thanks for your thoughts. xox
There have been 2 deaths, I think and quite a bit of damage. One small town seems to be cut off, damage to roads, landslides and bridges.
The aftershocks have been pretty big and very frequent.
The quake itself was bloody awful, I've never been in one so big and this one scared the living life out of me. I actually dived under a coffee table with one of the cats. My house isn't even close to the epicentre and our place was shaking to shyt... it must have been horrendous for the people right in the middle of it.

From the good ol Midwest
I really, really hope to rest this weekend. Just over a week to go before Scott's surgery, so scared someone is going to drag in a cold bug or something or he will burn himself at work (4 shifts to go) and this will have to be rescheduled. The last hurdle was cleared this week, with insurance approving it (they DID try to deny it, wanted him to go to PT and get a cortisone shot, and he already did that, so it was approved) so he HAS to stay healthy now.

I know the first few days and weeks after are going to be really hard, but I wish we were there already.

Just want to crawl into a book and escape all weekend long. Going to really try to make it a priority. :encouragement:
Cat, Sending well wishes and an anti germ shield your way. May the surgery go quickly and smoothly and healing time swift. I am sending you big hugs and calming vibes. ((( Cat and Family)))
