Sci-fi- Howard The Duck.
Fantasy- League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen (I list it as fantasy because the maker were fantasizing that this was a good movie)
Horror- Jaws 3

Howard the Duck is an excruciatingly bad film. It deserved to fail at the box office.

I loved the original Jaws , I think they should done no sequels at all.

The League of Extraordinary Gentleman got done in by a bad script. It's not a great film but I do find it to be entertaining.

TLOEG was also done in by editing out about an hour of the film to shorten it down to whatever the length of time is on the official release. Also by not-so-great special effects. Probably also by Sean Connery's ego. ;-D

Does the edited out footage still survive ? if so can they do a directors cut of the film?

same baffled look appeared watching Jupiter Ascending last year. absolute garbage.

Sci Fi? Gotta go with Zardoz. Sean Connery dressed like Vampirella in a low budget futuristic dystopia.

Fantasy? Red Sonja. Just...blech. Could and shoulda been so much better.

Horror? Bloodsucking Freaks. If you haven't seen it, don't. At least, not without a fat spliff of Kingstown Kush--then it's hilarious. It was one of our go-to baked potato movies back in the day.

Ah, cannabis--making bad movies watchable since 1925.

Has anyone here ever had the misfortunate of seeing the 1975 film The Incredible Melting Man ? It got the Mystery Science 3000 Treatment :D

I've not seen that one...but I do remember Manos: Hands of Fate!! Horrible...Horrible Movie. :0: But I love MSK3000...I'm a Mike fan....but I like Joel too.

I have a few of the DVD's and I know that the Shout Factory carries a lot of the shows on their Roku channel. I also think NetFlix is bringing back the show sometime this year..New Episodes.

Ive heard all kinds of not good things about Manos Hands of Fate , I've never seen it though. As for The Incredible Melting Man , a really horrendous film.

I had put Zardoz out of my mind in an effort to avoid cinematic PTSD. And I'm frankly not sure if it's scifi or fantasy. I'm sure the movie production wonks meant something by it, but I'll be danged if we can get through that artistic- and drug-induced haze to find out.

Scifi. I mentioned Starship Troopers in another thread, and I'll do so here again. If you could tap the energy of Heinlein spinning in his grave, you could energize a mid-sized town.

Really, when it comes to these genres, there are so many movies so horrendously horrific, so frightfully incompetent, so head-scratchingly incomprehensible, that "bad" becomes the harvest of a bumper crop.

There are some so-bad movies that I'll watch (Plan 9) and some I get such bad press on that I never do, and so they'll mercifully never make it to my watch list (Blair Witch). Since I'm not fully invested in the genres, it's probably not my place to tell.

I will confess that Grandma and I were thoroughly entertained by Fifth Element, and we'll watch it whenever it comes on, from the start or midway through.

M Night Shyamalan's The Village..was it supposed to be horror,or science fiction,or drama,or what? It turned out to be a snooze fest of massive proportions, right up there with the worst movies ever seen..

now,one that is not the worst, but made me laugh today, was another viewing of The Wolfman, with Lon Chaney Jr as ol' big and hairy..it never registered before, but today I noticed that when Lon goes out stalking folks after his wolfly transformation,he walks tippy toes..seriously,tippy toes..I know he has to be silent and is stalking and being all wolfy, but tippy toes?!?! Cracked me up.. :grinning:

I think he did the tippy-toes thing to simulate how a dog/wolf walks. When you watch their rear legs it does look like they're tippy-toeing.

yeah,I figured..I was just being sarcastic on old Lon..it really is a pretty good movie, for being seventy five years old..
Is this the one where his Dad beats him to death at the end? If so, my brother had a pretty good laugh after watching it 'I thought you could only kill a werewolf with a silver bullet!' ;-D

I saw a movie a few weeks back on the Sci-Fi channel, called Zombeavers! Obviously we knew this would be bad and kinda watched it for a laugh, I had passive embarrassment the whole way through! Seriously, where do they find these 'actors'?!:rofl::rofl:
Well the title "Zombeavers"...

Most men would have to watch for a little while just because...
