I'm always late for the party but I was watching through the window from outside behind the dumpster.
Time difference made me late. If I'm still invited, I'm happy to come, doing what I do best at parties, retiring to a corner and avoiding human contact. Good times.

I have a feeling you might find some company in that corner, whether you like it or not.
Personally, I like to find the resident pets and spend my time with them unless there's a board game happening...or something else far too exciting to miss. Like a stripper.
I went to a very low key party at the house of a person I barely knew in high school. I wasn't impressed and avoided parties afterward, but I did befriend their Border Collie and resident cat.
