So, as I'm driving my daughter to school this morning, I notice the temperature number flashing on the dashboard. I'm thinking omg, what is wrong with this car......stop in a parking lot, read the owner's manual.....it's not a malfunction. Apparently, if the outside temperature is between 25 - 37 degrees, the thing blinks......so now I'm thinking wtf, since when do I need a blinking light to tell me it's freaking cold outside! :facepalm_smiley:

It was only 25-37 degrees there this morning? It was 69 here and I was thrilled. Are you liking your new wheels? My hooptie's thermostat (well, actually it's the ambient temp sensor) quits working when it's below 50! But I think I'm going to hang in there with it until it's dust.

My car does this, too. Apparently it's a safety thing so you will be aware that the roads may be icy. We were at 46F this morning, so I was safe!

I had to run into work late last night to handle a minor emergency. I was wearing a T-shirt, gym shorts and flip flops. I wish some flashing light would have gone off in my head that perhaps I should change clothes before heading out into 42 degree weather. I thought of turning around and changing, but decided a real man can handle the cold for a couple of hours. Idiot! :(

It was 37 at 7:45 this morning. I love the cooler evenings, but chilly mornings are a drag.
I absolutely love the new wheels....even if it tries to outsmart me :biggrin-new:
I had sworn to drive the Subaru until the wheels rusted off.....we were about to that point!

So, I got this crush.

I was wondering if maybe anyone could maybe a good way to get her number? We work at the same place, but different sections. I'm in the back of the store and she's in the front. Not sure how she feels about me. We haven't talked EXTREMELY a lot. I usually get a smile from her when we talk but she's a smiley type. I know dating or going for someone who I work in the store as might be dumb, but I like the cut of her jib. I'd like to know more about her.

So, yeah.

I know most of the time its good to be confident. I can do that. I gotta build it up first, though as I'm not naturally very smooth in that way. What are the best options? Just ask directly, slip her my number in a sort of smooth but not pressure way...or something else? I can only manage to see her either on a break by chance, when I go up front to buy something (which means I'm sort of rushed) or when she's walking around in my section of the store.

Any suggestions?

Sorry if sounded creepy. Trust me, if she's not at all interested in that matter or already has a boyfriend - that's it. I can totally respect that and never wanna be one of them idiots who can't take a NO. Plenty of other fish in the sea.

BUT for now she's the one I'm thinking about.
...let me preface this by saying I was a complete lummox as a younger man when it came to asking anyone out.....but as I got older, it became "what's the worst that could happen?"...ask her out after work.....but first kinda figure out some of her likes and dislikes which can be picked up on in casual chit chat....

You'd think it was Alaska this morning. I had to wear socks.

Your hairy legs didn't insulate you? Go figure?

(((OoO))) Laughter helps. Of course, you will get a poke with a pointy stick later, most likely. Safe walk with your pup.
