Pleased to see people still care: Very busy day in our condo communities yesterday. Lawn maintenance, landscapers, tree service and others all in action. At the end of day I kept seeing managers trucks from Lawn service riding through community repeatedly. They saw me observing and informed me they had a worker missing.
Some little lady who only had been with them a day or two had been leaf blowing in the backyards and had been missing since early afternoon. Her cell phone was in crew truck and she had not been seen for hours at that point.. I spread the word to a couple neighbors and got a report that someone had posted on some website about seeing a woman with leaf blower walking through her and neighbors yard blowing away leafs by their pool cages and lanais. This was unusual since these were private homes who tended to their own yards. This was a few blocks away from our community. I passed the word on and started searching those other streets. When I went back nto my community there were a couple of our residents who on their own decided to walk the property searching the backyards and by bushes and any area somone may have sat or fallen down.
Around 7PM I got word that apparently she had got disoriented and wound up walking about 9 miles or so home. Relief came from that however the best part was to see the concern that was shared. The managers of her employer were relentless searching as should be and that was great but what really hit me were those in my community who stepped up and went searching thoroughly for this person who was a stranger to them.
God Bless them and the feeling there are those who still care for one another. .
That's great that people cared enough to take the time to help! So I guess social media can be used for good as well (not just posting funny cat pics)
