Since the board closes on weekends now, I have to get out of the house and have adventures. I think we should have a place to post pics of our weekend adventures.

I’ll start:
On Saturday we went on a whale watch out of Rye harbor

I spent the majority of the weekend doing @*&$ing Managerial Accounting homework. I had to read 5 chapters and do 4 on-line assignments by yesterday. That sucked up most of Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and part of Monday. I still have a business brief to write before this Friday as well as two more on-line assignments to complete by Monday

I did go see Jaws on the big screen last night. It was a blast! Line for the movie wrapped around the building! Went with one of my SwiftCousins. Had some dinner before the movie.

This weekend will be more homework and a trip down to the National Cemetery in Bourne with SwiftMom so she can visit SwiftDad's grave. SwiftDad's birthday is on the 9th.

Jaws was playing at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline, MA. They show it every Labor Day in 35mm. Pretty rad!

I'm going there again on the 22nd to see Magnum Force (the 2nd Dirty Harry movie).

About the coolest thing they have scheduled in the near future is a showing of Suspiria in November. Goblin, the band that did the soundtrack, will be performing it live that night!

Not much, really. Tried a new recipe I had in my head for a while; red cabbage stamppot (mash pot) with unions and cinnamon, and a sausage (and gravy). It came out so much better than I expected... :unconscious: We also visited my mother, which was very nice. Other than that (and a whole list of household activities, obviously) I have mostly been looking at all kinds of nice items I can't afford. :topsy_turvy:

Well let's see...

On Saturday bushhogged 15 acres of pasture for 4 hours. Mowed my yard, the yard of the house I grew up in and around the barn area as well. Took 6 hours to do this. Took wife to eat at Dairy Queen with first ever public work paycheck.

Sunday went to see son, who never calls or comes home, at college. Drive is an hour and 40 minutes one way. Ended up taking him and roommate to Buffalo Wild Wings, first time I have been there ever, using up some more of aforementioned paycheck.

Monday worked on fence because top of tree broke off and fell on it causing me to have to use chainsaw for a couple of hours. Then found out lightning had run in on fence charger costing me $140 to replace...

Today went back to public work...

You know.

To rest...:)
