It's a quick read but I think you have to like mysteries (however I did find that she wrapped it up rather quickly near the end) Have a great time with Mom and Auntie! My aunt is in town and I'm going to dinner with my mom and aunt tonight so I won't be here tonight. That sounds good!Side Note:
Bev Vincent post in RIP concerning the death of Dennis Etchison. I would like to suggest the group read one of his short stories for next week, June 5.

That was weird - but it made me want to read more. When the next story popped up (We Have All Been Here Before) I wanted to start reading that one too. But if I do that I won't get anything done today. I'll save my comments for the current story for June 5th.Discussion Group Read for June 5th

First read for this author too. I am expanding my authors!!
I enjoy crime, thrillers and this fit the bill. Good characters, started to suspect the husband before the end. Embezzlement , one big mistake ( packing that suitcase), betrayal. Nice story.
I love Sue Grafton. I think she writes very reader friendly and interesting stories. Very efficient. I am up to V in her alphabet series and I'm so sad she died and won't finish Z. She had a title, Z is for Zero, but hadn't started the work when she died of Appendix Cancer! I've never heard of this!
This story was a smooth reading, nice little whodunnit. I love the character Kinsey Millhone (which her family says was very much Sue herself.) . Even though it was a lot of pages, it was a quick read because Sue writes with an inviting ease.
R.I.P. Sue and thanks.
Thanks for taking the time to share your opinions...I must admit, that coming from a reading history of hard boiled detectives, courtesy of my dad-Sue’s “other self” is damned good!...have been aware of her work for years, just never ventured into her world...many thanks for the chance...her writing is taut and wastes no words...love the sense of snark that permeates this piece....I may venture into her “office” again....
