Metamorphosis II 1940 Woodcut in black, green and brown, printed from 20 blocks on 3 combined sheets.
I like puzzles. I very much like Escher puzzles. I have a puzzle of this Escher piece and it is one of the best puzzles to ever come my way.

I have this puzzle, too, which I started to put together, but then the cat got into it, and now I dunno if I still have all the pieces or if some of them have been digested.I like puzzles. I don't recall!Anyone remember which SK story/character gives a brief Escher nod?
p.s. no interweb peaking, only fleshy brain memory files can be accessed.

Four days and not a single guess....
Answer:Jonesy, towards the end of Dreamcatcher
In what way does Jonesy do this? I've read the book but don't recall what yer referring to.
Ok, cool! From Dreamcatcher, near the end:
"We're going to kill the son of a itch, Jonesy says, and reaches for the doorknob. Above it is a sign reading THERE IS NO INFECTION HERE, IL N'Y A PAS D'INFECTION ICI, and suddenly he sees both of that sign's bitter edges. It's like one of those Escher optical illusions. Look at it from one angle and it's true. Look at it from another and it's the most monstrous lie in the universe."
Did you watch the making of an Escher chessboard? THe one with lizards and then turtles. That was amazing. I would love to have one.
No, I haven't seen that! It sounds wonderful! I've found this...Did you watch the making of an Escher chessboard? THe one with lizards and then turtles. That was amazing. I would love to have one.
