Good morning! Peeking in quick.

Most of the deep cleaning is done for Evan's party. Just carpet shampooing left. Just have to maintain what has been done now. ;)

I am thinking about cheating and buying his cake rather than doing it myself. It will make me feel guilty but time-wise, I think it would really help.

Has been an eventful weekend. Happy, we celebrated Brandon's birthday on Friday night. Went to a bbq at their house. Sage is recovering from her tonsils being removed like a champ.

Saturday, Evan told us he is moving out, rooming with 2 friends in an apartment. Sigh. Lots of tears. We are proud of him and knew it was coming on some level but maybe just not quite so soon. Bittersweet.

Sunday I was still pretty heartbroken and then we found out one of Alison's friends was killed in a car accident Saturday night. 14 years old. My heart breaks for his family and all his friends. Ali is having a pretty hard time with it. Here I was, crying and throwing a fit over my kid turning into an adult and this boy never will. Trying to comfort Ali when comfort cannot be found. Really puts things into perspective.

I hope you all had a good weekend. Have a list of stuff I need to get done so I will pop in and out.

Big hugs and positive vibes to all. :love_heart:
Oh (((Cat,))) that's awful about Ali's friend, I'm so sorry...

About the cake.... definitely buy it, girl, then just chuck something home-made (looking) on top... a little extra icing (frosting?) and some lollies or something. :biggrin2: He won't care at all, he knows how busy you are.

wolfphoenix, I'm not the only one to bug when you see the message timestamp past 2am anymore :)
....I don't pay any attention to the time stamps, I woke up at 3:00 a.m. to go to the bathroom and get a drink of water. And I saw you were still on the board. :)
Kurben ! You get to bed at a reasonable hour too. :)
....that's where I'm going right now. tired.

I just watched the 2,5 hour long pressconference where they related what really happened the night Palme was killed. A big disappointment. Yes, the witnesses statements can be interpreted that way but also in other ways. Most disappointing was that there is nothing new, no new evidence. This murder is like a big unhealed wound for everyone living then and to be promised new and almost conclusive evidence one moment and then have it end with this was horrible. It made one thing very clear though, how incompetent the police acted the first years (probably in chock like the rest of the country was but still). All the statements from witnesses were collected just a few months after. And can you name a suspect after he is dead? Say that he is guilty of murder of a prime minister without hard evidence? Isn't that defamation of character or something?? I just relived my own feelings from that night and the next morning, not happy memories.

What happenned? From what I gather, they claimed that someone who is now gone was resposnible? How convenient.

Question. I notice that Joe Hill seems to do quite a lot of book tours, my question is, has anyone here had the chance to meet him? Another question, at these book events, what happens? Do you just get the guy's autograph and on you go or is there an opportunity to actually talk with him?
