I was looking for something I had read a long time ago about how they had taken the Marsten house (from the movie) and built a faux front on it to make it look more like the house on the cover of the book. I always thought that was cool.
Anyway when I was looking for that article thingy, I saw this Youtube video with the filming locations from the movie and thought it was cool as heck! =D I totally wanna ghost hunt in that graveyard. The house though, is around 6 minutes in...

Encore is having a Stephen King Marathon today on Mr. King's birthday, how appropriate. I have watched the first half of 'Salem's Lot, saving the second for some bright, sunny afternoon. I'd love to see a more sophisticated version of this re-done on the big screen.
...I like that..."sophisticated" is a great way to put it...kinda like an "intelligent" reworking of The Shining...

I also watched this on Encore this past month. Had not seen it in quite some time. If there is any SK adaptation that is "screaming" for a remake, 'Salem's Lot is it.

Ferndale is a neat town. I've been there twice. You can see many of the same streets and buildings in "The Majestic" and "Outbreak". Very photogenic place. If you're driving through Northern California it's worth a detour. Check it out.
