A lot of my favourite films were released in this decade - anyone else agree?

The Big Chill (1983) , Ghostbusters (1984), Pretty in Pink (1986), When Harry Met Sally (1989), The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989).

Can we find five films each?

Thanks :howdy:

Yes! The late, great 80's! As GNT stated, those happened to be my formative years and the cheesier the better. I'll leave horror flicks out of my list because that would turn into a War and Peace sized novel. As stated above....cheese fests....
Top Gun-oh how I love this movie and it's totally 80's soundtrack. The volleyball scene. 'Nuff said.
Breakfast Club-I mean, really. Weren't we all one of those characters at some point in our lives?
Back to the Future
St.Elmo's Fire-Brat Pack!!
Pretty in Pink-James Spader.
Fatal Attraction-okay, not quite so cheesy but people reference that damn bunny to this day.
Field of Dreams
The Outsiders
Dirty Dancing
Ferris Buellers Day Off
Risky Business-just take those old records off the shelf!! Okay, Tom..I will =D

Aw, this is taking me way, way down memory lane.
The Big Easy - a tasteful turn-on (sounds weird, I know, but true).
Sophie's Choice - perfect casting and where did I put the book?
The Untouchables - that script and that score. . .:okay:

A lot of my favourite movies are from the eighties.

John Carpenter's The Thing

Conan The Barbarian

Highlander

Aliens

Mad Max 2

The Shining

(see there's six, aren't I generous ?)

Aliens - surely one of the most quotable scripts of that decade.

Anyone else think that Highlander was too ruthlessly edited? There must be a director's cut out there, please. .
