Not entirely sure if Mr. King will read this or not. If so, great. If not, maybe someone will and enjoy it.

Basically, I would like to thank Mr. King. When I was a kid, before school had even started, I had taught myself to read. My mother still tells me she remembers when I came into her room with a book and just began reading it, and how amazed she was. I loved reading as a kid. I would go to library and check out a handful of books at a time and read each one. Somewhere between 13-15, I stopped reading. The only thing I read were sports articles and FaceBook comments. That is until late 2011. Working at Smith's here in Las Vegas, NV, I saw a new book that I hadn't seen before. What caught my eye was the cover. I've always been interested in history which was something that has stuck with me til' this day. I picked the book up titled 11/22/63 and read the inside of it. I told myself, "Wow, this looks like a great book, right up my alley". I told myself I had to buy the book next paycheck. Well, somewhere between my irresponsibility with money and lack of conviction, I didn't buy the book. Fast forward 4 years later. I'm now doing undercover security for Wal-Mart. One day, I stop a middle age women, who, believe it or not, was attempting to steal 11/22/63. As I'm getting her information I ask her why she was stealing this book. What she said to me was, verbatim; "No clue. Just thought it would be something this guy I'm dating would like". So, she leaves with a $250 fine, and now I have this book sitting in my office. I pick it up and begin reading. By the time I knew it, (as upset as my boss was) an hour passed and I was hooked. I buy the book that night and take it home and can I just say, that Mr. King is solely responsible for getting my love of reading back. This only happened a month ago, and with a busy schedule I can't read as much so I'm not done with the book yet (SO DON'T SPOIL IT lol). But I can already tell that this book has sparked something for me, and it's all because of Stephen King. Like I said, I don't know if he will read this or not, but, if by some miracle he does, I would just like to thank you. Thank you for showing me how much reading opens your mind to things you could never imagine. Thank you Mr. King for reminding me why I fell in love with reading in the first place.

Signed,
Probably the only 21 year old here lol,

Mike.

Hi Mike.. Great first post! It is Ka.. keep reading!
and keep posting! I hope you love it here. We are Ka-Tet.

Have you read any other material from SK ? All of his books are totally awesome! Besides his Masterpiece : The DT Series, my favorite is IT.. but the majority of his books run a very very close second!

Peace and Love..
