Hey everyone, long time no post, but I'm back. My fiance has been begging me to read Dreamcatcher for a long time now and I finally got around to it. It completely makes sense to me that SK was on some good pain meds during the creation of this one. The whole first half reads like some trippy, delirious dream. But I don't mean that in a negative way at all. I liked it and think that first half is very unique for even a King book. Aliens are definitely one of my favorite subjects when it comes to fiction, so I sure do enjoy seeing King's takes on them. I LOVE the premise behind the alien visitors in this book, I thought it was pretty original and fascinating. There are a lot of really laugh out loud moments in this story as well as Mr. Gray makes his way through his journey. I wasn't expecting so much humor in what's honestly a kind of bleak story. I like the first half much more than the second half, which is really just one big chase. It was very nice to be back in Derry again for a little bit as well. Not a favorite, but I definitely don't dislike this one in the slightest. What are your guys' thoughts on Dreamcatcher?
