One of my short stories is about a schizophrenic. At the end of the story, the name on the door to his room is "D. Frye." Only Alice Cooper aficionados might get it. No one ever has. (Of course, only 15 people have actually read the story, so.....)

I have "Poison" stuck in my head now...but I love that song, so it's all good.
How many know he took the name 'Alice Cooper' from a character on the TV show Mayberry R.F.D.?
He was arrested once and put in handcuffs.... Alice In Chains (yeah, I had to go there

I did not, but I know where he got the name "Dwight Fry" from.
Dwight Frye was an actor who played nutso characters in movies in the '30s. (Cross-reference early Alice Cooper song: "The Ballad of Dwight Fry.")
I thought he got it from Lizzie Bordon. Or from a witch in Salem
