The interview was with the 13 year old twins of the Jon and Kate plus eight fame. Anyhow, the interviewer was asking the kids if being in the public eye has affected them. They were strangely silent. I am sure that it has something to do with being thirteen year old girl...However, still find it strange that they were mostly silent about the subject.

I didn't see the interview, but I imagine they're tired of being ho'd out for the money by their parents. I can't imagine how stressful that would be, to have large chunks of your life out for public consumption (when that's not your choice). Being a teen is hard enough (aside from having gone through it myself, I'm on my third 15 year old--13-17 haven't been easy for any of them) without extra pressure. They probably aren't allowed to say that, but...

I think they are afraid of Kate.

Sheesh! I think they learned at a very young age that if you say or do something and it's recorded it will be held against you for your entire life. Those poor kids. Who acts "normal" in front of a camera anyway. Reality TV is so not real, I think those kids don't know what's real anymore. Ish - look at me judging! I don't mean to, but I just don't like reality tv.

...anything but Honey Boo-Boo and the Inbred Clowns...
I watched a couple of episodes to see why it was so popular, and I think it's because they make everyone else look so normal. I cringe just watching the commercials. I know reality shows are not as real as they're made out to be, but whoever thought up this one should be drawn and quartered. Don't these people realize what they're doing to their children in the name of so called entertainment?

Honey booboo was a weird situation before the "reality" show started. Originally she was in a child beauty pageant. But there was something to do with her drinking a mixture of power drinks and something.
Yes, it was called 'Go-go Juice' by her Mom. Now why couldn't they (the Boo-Boo clan) market that and other things like the Duck Dynasty clan has??? I need to be Boo-Boo's marketing exec! I got tons of ideas for them like dolls, build-it-yourself mud puddles, etc., etc.

Go-go juice? I don't think I would want my child to drink that stuff - poor Honey Boo Boo went from cute to overweight. If she ends up looking like Mom then I feel sorry for her.

You should have been in marketing, KRF - or are you? I really liked that subject in high school

I bet you could make money on stuff like that, actually.

I don't think you can take two products, mix them together and then sell them. Isn't that against the law?

And wasn't one of the ingredients one of those power drinks that say not to give to children, and the other something a decent parent wouldn't give a child on a regular basis?

I concur. If my parents were exploiting me for cash, I would be mightily pissed off, especially at this time of life.

Yes, I know that, I was being very sarcastic with my post. But, then again, if there's a way to make some moola then I am all for it.....
