:biggrin2: No, I suspect she is probably just reminding Srbo that if he had chosen to participate in the testing of the new MB, then it wouldn't have been such a shock to the system. :)
I was just joking around. I do think you're right about what she meant, but in-person, I imagine it being said with a very mocking exaggeration of snobbiness. You know what I mean? When some pretends to be snobby and turns their face up (nose in the air), but all while both people are laughing.

I never had any problems with the old board, but I know that there's a lot we, as users don't see. Vbulletin based message boards have had some serious problems, with database errors and so on. I'm gonna miss the social groups, but after the no-moderation policy, there hasn't been much activity on these groups.

:) I do hear you... but I think it was in reaction to Srbo's wee tanty. (tantrum) I was feeling it too last night when I answered him to be honest. A lot of incredibly hard work has gone into preparing the new board--months and months of late nights, and frustration with trying to get things to specifically suit the needs of this MB (software can only bend so much) and I guess when somebody walks in and goes blaaaaaaaaah yuck! What have you done?! (Like it was done purely to annoy people) It can get through a layer or two of skin.
There have been things we've had to give up to go with this board, but it is the very best one for us right now and I just know how hard Jordan and Brian have worked to make this work.

flakeNoir, I guess since I didn't put any work into this, I was reading it differently. Sincere apologies. :) I have been there in the past, specifically in regard to moving a forum.

As for this one....there are a few things I miss (I like seeing an individual's post count right in the post) but there are other things I love....like having my own avatar. And, personally, I like that under my avatar it says "Well known member" because, I still feel like "the noob" here. And it makes me feel good that someone here thinks I 'm well known. :D

If I average out the positives and negatives, the positives win. And even if they didn't, I 'd still be happy here and I'd still appreciate all the work so many people did. And also, I really appreciate that some things that can be improved they are. Like when someone asked for more of the smilies we used to have...and poof...there they are. The smilies aren't the most important part of the board, but they make it homey, so it's nice they are back.
