Oh honey, I'm just trying to be witty (that never goes well for me) - There's a Seinfeld episode where everyone always says, "Not that there's anything wrong with that" every time there's a reference to being gay. It makes me sad that someone would poke fun at anyone for who they like having sex with, don't we have far worse problems in this world?

Ah! If I'd ever bothered with Seinfeld (beyond the odd ep or few minutes when channel surfing) I'd have got that, so it wasn't that you failed to be witty, but that the wit was lost on me.
