Anyone else seen it yet? I thought it was amazing and left the theater feeling like I'd had all the air sucked out of my body.

'Sup, Cowboy. You been on a cattle drive to Calla Bryn Sturgis? What gives?I thought it was well done.....it was darker than I expected. The after credit ending was humorous.

though why they didn't put Thanos' arm through one of Doc Strange's portal thingys and then close the portal, thus cutting off his arm, is beyond me).
Loved it! I've now seen it twice, and the impact was even greater the second time (I pretty much leaked from the eyes for the last half of the movie). It was dark, and brave, and it mostly made sense (though why they didn't put Thanos' arm through one of Doc Strange's portal thingys and then close the portal, thus cutting off his arm, is beyond me).
Two things I haven't heard anyone talking about that made an impression on me: 1) Hulk was afraid of Thanos. Wow! I didn't think he could be afraid! 2) Thor says none of the Guardians could possibly wield a weapon made by the big dwarves--it would crush their bodies and explode their minds... but Groot did it. Tells me there's a lot about Groot that we don't know (or I didn't until my son told me. Hes one powerful plant!). I could talk about this movie all day. This is in my top 5 Marvel movies, too, Tery .
They didn't do that because Strange looked at all those futures and saw only one way to win. That wasn't it.D'oh! What a great idea!
Wish I could go see it again, this time with you!
There was a definite nod to the Avengers movie where Hulk drove Loki into the ground and mused: "Puny god."Hulk's fear of facing Thanos a second time was brilliant to me. Think about it, Hulk is pretty much a force of nature with the mentality of a temperamental 3 year old. To that point, he'd never faced anyone who could actually put him down for the count and it scared the bejeezus out of him to learn that he really WASN'T the "strongest one there is". And this one became my favorite Marvel movie (and possibly my favorite superhero movie period) of all time!
And...Captain Marvel is coming!!! Can't wait!
I love this film and will be seeing it again tomorrow, after which I'll write a full review. By the way, if you guys thought the scene between Peter and Tony was heart-breaking, do you remember when Groot said "I am Groot" to Rocket at the end? James Gunn recently revealed what it translated to. Click the link below to well and truly shatter your heart.
