Some ancient Babylonian law code (so called the Code of Hammurabi) are written on a human-sized stone stele shaped like a huge index finger. Would like I to know why was chosen such unusual form for so important writing? Are opinions?

Yes, the finger... I know that the Ten Commandments were written with the finger of God. But Babylonian finger is dating back to about 1754 BC. Why did appear such image?Finger?

Ancient stone tablets often hide secrets... For example, some letters of Tablets of Stone and Code of Hammurabi have the through holes and may be read on both sides......I can see the resemblance..., but don't think there is anything mystical about the choice...stele were often used for "official" notices of the time....
