...every other driver on the road annoys me!!….I am the only picture of vehicular perfection out there in the asphalt jungle.....
I totally agree with this! They all annoy me for a whole mess of reasons. That may be true in Ohio, GNTLGNT , but here I hold that title. ;):witless:

Scott's got Ohio, Deb's got her neck of the woods, the Ogre's got Tennessee - he thinks he's the only good driver in Memphis.

My personal issue is like others: texting and driving. It's terrifying when suddenly the interstate lane I'm in slows to a crawl and it's some jackass with his/her face buried in the phone leading the pack- driving is not the priority. DON'T PHONE AND DRIVE. Don't talk, don't text, don't take pictures. For Gan's sake, just drive. Be here now!

Personally about me - I think I drive too slow. My speedometer doesn't work anymore - so I have to guess at what feels right. Slower is better. I only have 5 miles between home and work. It's all good.

I was in (no offense) in Florida. I have never saw so much crappy driving in my life. The near death experiences were numerous. My Guardian angel must have been working overtime.
I understand, I live here!!
I heard there are a lot of "snowbirds" down there from up in Canada - some are from Quebec - have you ever seen the way they drive in Montreal? oy vey - it's bad!

We don't get as many from Quebec, but there are more than one or two that I would have preferred not drive here from New Brunswick either. ;) I'd still take them over a Masshole driver any day, though.

WE all have bad driving habits. I have my pet peeves about driving. My personal favorite is no turn signal and then they turn. Name your bad driving habits.

What's even worse is when you are sitting there waiting on a car to go by and they turn at your intersection (and if they would have had their turn signal on, you could have pulled out earlier) and they put on their turn signal as they are in the middle of their turn when it's too late for you. I feel like chasing them down on beating on their car with a hammer. :)

Rules to remember when driving in MA:

  1. Using turn signals is a sign of weakness.
  2. Yellow lights do not mean caution. They mean hurry up it's going to turn red!
  3. He who is quickest has the right of way!
  4. Everyone (except your friendly neighborhood SwiftDog) is crazy!

I am a terrible back-seat (or passenger seat) driver. I am always pointing at traffic in front of us, saying watch out, etc. It irritates Scott to no end.

A couple weeks ago, Brandon picked me and the kids up to go to RJ's t-ball game because Evan had my car. He had to run to the bank afterwards, and as he was pulling out into traffic, I'm looking back over his shoulder to make sure he was clear. He says, "Hope there is no one coming, because I didn't look." And rolled his eyes at me. :D I said, "I'm sorry, but remember I've spent the last year teaching Evan how to drive. It's a bad habit, I do it to Dad, too."

He just laughed.

You forgot never make eye contact or they won't let you in if you're trying to switch lanes during a traffic jam. :)

Well, you can make eye contact when flipping the bird and cutting them off so you can get in the lane!!
 I was usually the one flipping the bird at the one who was doing the cutting off. Four years of driving the SE Expressway took its toll on my good nature.
When our son was little. This guy cut us off and my hubby whipped him the bird and yelled you're number one. My son says yay dad he is number one.he was
so proud. Glad he had no idea. We both laughed.

No offense to Boston, but that was the worst driving I've seen. It's a madhouse!

Here on my commute now - It's the trucks and the construction when I get close to the city. Cattle shoots, two small lanes, big trucks next to me crossing over the other lane, and cars on my back. Hells, no - I'm not going next to him. Already got hit by a truck once. Deal with it for a quarter mile.
