No book tour or signing is planned for this one. There have been times when Steve will decide on the spur of the moment to do one in Maine that would be outside of the official book tours set up with Scribner but we usually would have had that in the works by now as it takes a bit of coordinating to get things arranged.
No signings planned. It is posted in another thread. Just the promo of Tv interview and NPRtalk show on Tues.
I think the promotional gigs would be the most difficult part of SK's work/life.
I can well imagine that one would have to be in the mood and psyche one's self up (out?) to smile endlessly and graciously accept venerate praise, answer interviewer's (same ol', same ol') questions and try to sincerely glad-hand all the #1 fans.
Having said this, I understand the business need to do the Public Relations thing (his agent, publisher and staff expect a paycheck and there are other bills to pay, right?), but personally, I'm happy to hear that Mr. King does limit his time doing anything above and beyond PR-related only when he is in the mood or feels inspired for whatever reason.
It keeps it (him) real... life is too short to be working ALL the time.

Besides, he serves us best by spending his time sitting at his old Royal No.10 Typewriter...

Absolutely! He's upgraded to a Mac these days, though, so the publicity gigs must be working. ;)
