I was just curious if King drew inspiration for the Brady character from any particular bad guys? There seem to be some psychological elements of the Columbine shooters/Boston bombers and even old Lee Harvey Oswald. In fact, Brady lives on Elm St. Maybe with a hint of Norman Bates' mommy issues.

Never thought of that, but it is a really good point. Especially the Norman Bates Mommy thing.

Why not the movie series Terror on Elm Street?

JFK was assassinated on Elm Street which runs in front of the Texas School Book Depository. I vaguely recall that the "Nightmare on Elm St" series took its name from that event as well.
