Brady = Oswald

    I was just curious if King drew inspiration for the Brady character from any particular bad guys? There seem to be some psychological elements of the Columbine shooters/Boston bombers and even old Lee Harvey Oswald. In fact, Brady lives on Elm St. Maybe with a hint of Norman Bates' mommy issues.

    Never thought of that, but it is a really good point. Especially the Norman Bates Mommy thing.

    JFK was assassinated on Elm Street which runs in front of the Texas School Book Depository. I vaguely recall that the "Nightmare on Elm St" series took its name from that event as well.
