CAT can turn a phrase. Gonna miss her posts about her family life. Vacuuming the kids and feeding the rugs....wait that’s not quite right.... :biggrin-new:
I probably did say it that way at some point!

I have been flooded with so many memories today. I have been trying not to think about it too much but can't keep it in the box anymore.

I've been a silent reader but I would like to express my gratitude to all who made this message board a great place to be. Sad to see it go, with so limited alternatives, but glad all those who shared their passion for Mr. King's works could connect in this way, especially those who might have not been fortunate enough to attend a live reading event.

It is the same here with the Dark Tower series and most things in life, I think the path makes the story, not the end of the journey. Thankee-Sai you all.

We are planets to each other
Drifting in our orbits
To a brief eclipse
Each of us a world apart
Alone and yet together
Like two passing ships

I've been orbiting here for 17 years. In that time I have made some wonderful friends, found ka-tet. You were there for me when my mother died suddenly 11 years ago, when my daughter flew from the nest (and when she came back), when I was diagnosed with this bothersome condition and when fur babies have gone. You let me rant and get it out of my system, let me grieve and get it together. I have received many gifts, both tangible and intangible from my ka-tet. I am grateful for all of you (yes, even those with which I disagreed, sometimes vehemently). I'd like to leave you with another quote from Mr. Peart (to those whose first thought upon his passing was of me... I still don't know what to say but bless you). I love you. I will miss you. Thank you.

Of course it’s just my opinion, but to me, my life is not dedicated to the place, but to the journey, and to the hour of arriving. All the while knowing that, all too soon, there will come the hour of departing.
