Do Your Children Resemble You?

I do not have children.

But I do have a sister who is much older, and looks nothing like me. Brown hair, green eyes. I have the blonde/blue going.

But I have a nephew and it was creepy freaky weird how he looked like me as a child.
And still does. (If I were a big man and a cop)

I can't imagine how strange that must be for a parent.

My children look way more like their father than they do me. Genetics are very interesting, though. I have a niece who used to look way more like me than her mother (my sister). I think she just looks like herself now.

Daughter resembles me. Son resembles dad. But daughter and son resemble each other very much too. Even though hubby & I look nothing alike.

My first daughter Jillian looks a lot like how I looked at her age, and my second daughter Addie looks a lot like my wife did at her age. We each have our own little twin! I also see some of my sisters in both of my daughters.

My oldest daughter's face looks exactly like mine except she's blond and green eyed, and I am dark hair and brown eyes, but it's weird how our faces are the same. My son doesn't resemble either of us but he's got the Ogre's height and my build - he's a big guy. Our youngest looks exactly like the Ogre.

My oldest looks a lot like my dad. 2nd son looked more like my husband when he was small, now I can see more of me in him though. Daughter looks a lot like one of husband's sisters, right down to some of her mannerisms. I find that so fascinating, because it isn't something she has picked up by being around her, we don't see her very often. Youngest son got his great-grandpa's ears and resembles him quite a bit.
