The owners of the park that I live in are cutting down perfectly good trees, about 6 of them, for what purpose I don't know. It makes me angry. Now it's going to make it hotter here in the summer. I liked those trees.....
Are they Ash trees perhaps?
If they are there's a good chance they've become hosts to the Ash Borer Beetle, they've justa 'bout wiped out Ash trees around here in The Mighty BlueGrass, and a bunch of Ohio,.probably a lot of Indiana, too, they move way fast.

The one they're cutting down now is an apple tree. Crab apple, but still.:flat:

Ah, happens to Crabapple a lot, they get messier as they get more mature, that and/or harder on mowers...they get planted with a shelf life is my observation.
I worked a winter in a bar on a street lined with them, gathered a couple bushel baskets full and gave 'em to a sweet ol' gal that shared with me some Crabapple jelly and homemade wine...still drank back then, might right now if I had a bottle...well, milk jug:dizzy:

You keep doin' that, be happy, not grass stained
I hate cuttin' grass, almost rather be run over by a lawn mower, besides, I figure what did that grass ever do to me:biggrin2:
I agree.

The thing is - He put so much effort into making a whole new lawn - carted wheelbarrows full of soil, planted the seeds, etc. He worked his butt off for that grass. Then all of a sudden he got a job opportunity to work up North!

Oh well - I will try to get that lawn mower working tomorrow after work - I was too exhausted tonight and just went to bed.
