No. It probably isn't, but a lot of books mention it anyway - probably to prevent possible suits from the people the book is about.

I still don't fully understand what the Director's cut will contain. There is about 15 minutes of fairly short deleted scenes on this release. If there is gonna be a Director's cut then why show these seperate scenes? Does that mean that while these particular scenes were discarded, there's still a lot more filmed that the director wants to include in an extended cut?
It's kind of hard to imagine there was a lot missing. The film felt kind of complete and paced extremely well.
...Roberto Campanella.....I'm very anxious to see this director's cut. I would hope that it includes additional Pennywise scenes. There is bits of bts footage around that show scenes that were not in the theatrical version such as him sitting holding a bunch of balloons. There's even a tv spot where he is heard saying "wanna ballooon" which was not in the film. Whether true or not there has been talk that the Georgie scene was heavily cut from what was shown in the original test screenings. Also there is a cast credit of "organ playing clown" who is played by the same guy who played Pyramid Head in Silent Hill I believe which again was not in the film I saw
When is this so called Directors Cut coming out on disc? Didn't they announce this a year or more ago?
But this has not been confirmed to my knowledge.
I'd be down for both chapters to be on one disc and they could do it, they'd just have to put the extra's on a bonus disc. But I'm not going to hold my breath since they're going to want to milk chapter 2 for 20 dollars for awhile. Plus, I imagine chapter 2 will go to Vudu before blu ray so there's that.
I'm not sure how long it would take them to make that cut of the movie. The closest thing to this I can remember being released is the extended cuts of The Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbitt movies. I'm not too sure how long after their releases they released their extended cuts.
They'll want to make sure it is profitable as well and it may not be since so many have gone digital. Time will tell....
Yeah that is true. I don't know if I would rebuy the movie just for a cut of both halves together.
