I recieved an e-mail just a couple of hours ago stating the following:

"Thank you for purchasing 2 books and tickets to WORD's event with Stephen King on Tuesday, June 7th at the Landmark Loew’s Jersey Theatre (54 Journal Square, Jersey City, NJ 07306). There is no paper ticket! Each ticket guarantees entry to the event plus one copy of the hardback edition of END OF WATCH. All tickets are non-transferable (no exceptions) so you must bring your ID the day of the event. If you purchased more than one ticket your plus one must arrive and and enter with you. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the event will begin promptly at 7:30pm. You will receive your assigned seat(s) via email soon!"

So I guess it's another waiting game to find out about seating. At least now I know I definitely have seats and 2 books! Woo hoo!
Congrats!!

I'll be at the one in Charleston, WV. Can not wait! I nearly passed out from shock when I heard the news lol. Once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I wouldn't miss it for the world. My birthday is in June, so this is like the birthday present of ALL birthday presents this year. When the news broke I didn't care if it was a signing or a talk type of deal, I was just glad to know after all these years I could finally have the opportunity to be in the same room with the King! Huge thank you to Mr. King and everyone who made this possible. This is a dream come true, a rare moment to be in the same room as the man who touched my life and left a positive imprint upon it. I'm going to be in another world come June 10th. Time & reality's going to feel thin at the Clay Center in Charleston, WV! lol

I have 2 tickets for the Iowa City show, so excited to listen to Stephen King speak in person! Also have a 55% (yes I have done the math) chance of getting a signed book because the venue is so small. Signed or Unsigned, it will be a night to remember. Since it's general admission, I assume the earlier you show up, the better your chances to be close to the stage. With a venue so small though, all seats will be good. Doors open at 6, they begin seating at 6:30.

It will. The time I saw him in Seattle was like that. It was like living in fast forward. Listen slowly. :onthego:

Are you a fellow Gemini? My birthday is at end of May so I most certainly agree that this is the best present I could ask for as well!

Have they announced the venue for Charleston yet? I am waiting for either PA or WV. Both roughly same distance for me.

Thanks for the feedback - that is helpful!!
I asked the venue why some events there are general admission and some are assigned seating. She said that This event's seating was determined by the author's agent/ publisher. I notice some of the other book reading events on this tour are assigned seating. Does anyone know why the agent/publisher would make it different for different venues?
The publisher isn't the one who decided that. The hosting bookstore did but we had no objection to it if that's how they wanted to do it.

Curiousity kills me! :) I wonder why the bookstore would want it that way? Maybe they like to see people lined up for hours! LOL! J/K.
Either way - I am going to be so thrilled to see and hear Stephen King talk! I cannot wait!!!

Thanks. I'm assuming you know where it's from. Want to meet up before the event, chat a little over a cup-a-tea?

Well of course I know its One of Odin's Ravens flying with Thor's Hammer, Mjolnir. I am really big on Norse Mythology and heritage.

Also that image was used on AMORPHIS'S "Tales from the thousand Lakes" album as the cover. Great Folk/Metal band if you are into that kind of music.

As for meeting up, I am always up for meeting a like minded SK fan, and discussing some of his works, and I certainly prefer Tea over coffee. But as it stands now, I am working that day in Maryland, then leaving in time to drive the 3+ hours to venue. I expect since I don't have to be there to early for getting a good seat that I will arrive close to time to enter. But I will message you on here if I happen to be in town with time to spare. Jersey City is not much for the "sights", well not pleasant ones that is.
