(not her but looks just like)

I try everything. Today we went down to the stream and we both got all muddy. But every morning when I try to get ready for work, she is a terror.. She just got her big girl teeth. ow.
Every day she is in the shower with me.. I can not keep her out.. Then it is the baby bites all over my legs and whatever else she can reach.

Brush.. gone.. make up gone... toilet paper, forget about it... Its a game of fun-fun keep away.
Now the digging and chewies are starting.

I tried the peanut butter in a kong.. she will just bring it into the shower with her.

But she is so precious when she is sleepy........

Ech, maybe I should just call Dean Koontz

(hi spidey, looking forward to your reply) :)

Ha.

See I cant even spell the tread correct. Maggie McGhee Puppy.. has eaten 4 of my keys on the laptop ... and I type hard on what I have. I cant do a question mark or other things I have not discovered yet.

I am stinky and muddy and smell like a wet dog... and she is sleeping after a bath and blowdry with what I think is a tick in her ear.

She was just a little fluffball a few months ago...

She terrorized a bunch of little girls the other day. They were about 5 and dressed up going to a party or something. They had balloons.. BALLOONS! She got off the leash and knock a little girl down and popped a bunch of balloons before I could contain her. I drug her off leaving a bunch of little girls with their hair messed up and crying with popped balloons.

Not _Nadine, welcome to the world of growing puppies. She sure does "love" with her unconditional love! she abounds with energy and a whole new world of discovery. May I suggest a harness instead of a collar when you take her for walks, and yes, there has to be lots of walk to use up her energy. That is difficult in morning time when you get ready for work. You may need to do the shower in the evening. If you have a yard, exercise her- or maybe a nearby park- especially on weekends.

It is just like a new baby arriving at home and learning to walk- You have to dog prof the house-- as best you can. And yes, I do have keys missing from an old computer when I had Mack. I'd come home from work each day to find all the molding around doors taken down and the pride in his eyes-- look what I did mom. I love you!
Biting or love doggie bites- a gentle 'no' when she does it and re direct her to a stuffed or squeaky toy.

Substitute stuffed animals for human items. But be prepared to re stuff them daily. Since most of my dogs were rescues with many behavioral issues or health issues I never did go the dog obedience class route. You might see if there is a free one offered.

Ck her ear- if you really think it is a tick, it should be removed correctly. She could get ill.
Stay positive and enjoy doggie life!!

Oh gosh - I bet she's irresistible! I don't to tell you about the barking and frightening people - mine is still doing that. I walk her on a harness - that's harder to get out of - as a matter of fact, she's never been able to. And if you use a nose lead, she won't pull you. I've threatened mine with a muzzle for outings, but I haven't gotten one yet - it seems cruel, but I don't want her to bite anyone. I agree on the school, but I 've never done it. The chewing is just going to keep on until she's lost all her baby teeth - can you tell if she's got a bunch more to go? I would find Ruby's all over the place - the one that is a bunch of teeth connected together is pretty cool. If you go to a butcher shop, they will sell you a real cow thigh bone. Takes forever for them to chew up and they love the taste so they actually chew it - except for my simple minded girl who buries them. But give it a try - they are only $3 or so.

I would definitely try to use a halter/gentle leader instead of leash as it takes most of the pull and straining out of the equation. (sometimes a harness on a larger dog just intensifies the situation because a dog's chest is naturally strong... and think of huskies--their JOB is to pull, and so what do they put on them for maximum strength? A harness.)

Have you maybe tried spraying something she doesn't like on the things you don't want her to chew. Bitter Apple spray. However, our dog is 5 and will still chew wood. Door casings whatever. so must say I still have not found anything to stop ours. I wish you the best of luck.

She has a pet-safe harness. I do not like her pulling on her neck. When I first got it she was walking nice.. Now se just stands up in it and wags tail if she sees someone.

Yes, Spidey - I have to keep reminding myself that she is just a baby.. In the world for 5 months. ! I know..
This is why I take her for walks now out of her comfort zone.. so just in case she gets lost she has the smell.

(Kojack)

I met a neighbor who has a Golden.... and she is a trainer! Fate. It was random.. I think I said this in another thread.. .She gave me a bunch of healthy chewies for her and said to call.

I will call her for sure.

Thanks all.

th

Now she is worn out and still sleeping, spilling out of her puppy bed.....

She has squeaky toys and stuffed animals galore! I used to get upset if a pillow was out of place.. Now.. I walk picking things off the floor and walking bare foot over a random toy with her so excited that it squeaked..

I don't think it is a tick... I will check again.

She just does bad things (running off with sponge, lighter... anything) to play take-away.. err

The ear.. from getting wet every morning in the shower.... It became red and smelly... bad..
I cleaned and she was good about it, Tick if it was.. is gone, I did her ears well after bath.

Crazy, When I walk her - cars slow down to look and smile at her.. All of the neighbors are commenting on her growth...

She is very pretty, but she has to stop getting so excited when she sees a human.. waggie waggie. strain harness.
jump jump for kisses..
