Hi, I'm Brodwyn, new to this message board. I just finished "Finders Keepers" and I'm in that wrenching transition period one faces at the end of a King novel, moving from the world he created back to the 'real' world. The fact that he can create so compelling a universe is why I keep coming back. I've enjoyed almost everything he writes (the Dark Tower stuff, left me cold, however). My Favorite Four King novels would be: The Stand, It, Dreamcatcher and Under the Dome. Cell was good also, but had a weak and unconvincing ending.

Hello Brodwyn
Welcome to SKMB. Hope you like it here and stick around... join in conversations, there are a lot of wonderful Constant Readers here.

What was it about the DT that made you come to your conclusion ? I think it is a masterpiece and has woven IT's way into most all of his work (which is BRILLIANT in and among itself). I'm very interested in hearing more about this from you.

Would you like a balloon? IT floats! We all float down here... you will too!

Hi Brodwyn, Welcome. I found the Dark Tower series thrilling and epic and I am sorry you didn't enjoy it. I read them as they came out so maybe that was a different experience. To each his own. I once said that I'd enjoy the recopying of my local phonebook if it was copied by Steven King, so I find it hard to be critical of his stuff as I'm such a fan. Enjoy! mal

I liked 11/22/63 quite a lot, but there are so many good ones it is hard to narrow it down.
