I should have known better than to anger the football gods.

I've seen this so many times. The starter is out and all the backups get hurt. I remember when Marino tore his Achilles, the Dolphins backups started falling like dominoes. They ended up grabbing a close to 40 year old guy that hadn't played in a while (Steve DeBerg) and starting him the same week they signed him.

The Dolphins get on the board with their first win. What did it take?

They got to play the Browns at home who were starting a third string rookie QB. The Browns lost their kicker Friday and signed a new one who missed 3 field goals, 1 at the end of regulation. And the Dolphins only squeaked by in overtime. It's going to be a long season. (It has already been pretty long and it's only 3 weeks old. )

I don't understand firing Les. LSU talked about firing him last year but I think there was some kind of revolt and they didn't do it. I don't see how this is going to work out well for LSU.
