Fun Times and Sad Goodbyes

So I haven't been on for the past week. Why? Because my Mom came to visit! My Mom lives in Minnesota and I am currently in Washington State (My husband is in the Navy and this is our current duty station). I have not seen my mom for a year and eight months, because I moved here and hubby and I haven't had the funds to go home. Well, it has been a great six days! I picked up my Mom on Tuesday(June 24th) at SeaTac! We did so many things this week. I showed her the beautiful places to take drives though. We went to Seattle and enjoyed Pike Place Market. I took her to Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic Mountains. We went to the beach! She also went with me to see Cher! My mom also took me for my first trip to the Casino! LOL The worse part about this whole thing was? Having to say good bye yesterday! Six days wasn't nearly enough time for the past year and a half. So yesterday and today I have been pretty down and sad. But with my Casino winnings, I bought Mr. Mercedes! So...for the next few days I shall just relax and reflect on the time spent with my mom and all the amazing things we did together! The past six days really made me appreciate my mom, because now that I am an adult I don't get to spend as much time with her.

I think we really have to move to another place, away from our parents to start appreciating them... It's the way things should work. At least, it makes moments spent with the parents more special, as when we live with them every day things are different (okay, maybe, it's just me). Anyway, it sounds like you had a great time and you have good memories now. I hope you will meet your mom again soon enough!

Thanks everyone! I really have learned to apprecitate my Mom since we live so far apart now. I really had fun when she was here, but I am so heart broken that she is gone. Like I said 6 days wasn't enough. So today I am getting out of the house and going to play Pokemon at a local card shop.
