Honestly, I haven't read any that I would recommend. Indie horror writers tend to be indie for a reason, from what I've seen: no sense of plot or character, overdeveloped sense of gore.

I can imagine a lot of indie authors overloading the gore and loosing the story telling. Bad Abadan bad.
