This would be great for me because they cannot get it from my veins and usually get the blood from my artery.

Without the need for cold chain transportation, individuals could draw their own blood at home and mail the sample to the lab at their leisure, according to a company press release.
...I looked but didn't see, evidence of whether this device would cause hemolysis, or destruction of the red cell...hopefully that isn't the case-because this looks very promising, though it will slow down blood draws...less pain might make it worthwhile, and as a nurse-it would save us from having to poke and prod for veins before getting a sample...
