Well, it is eleven pm and that means time for bed. Past the time, rather. I have been spending a lot of my day trying to catch up on reading as well as on my queue. Plus I worked, too. Not a particularly long shift, but just enough for me to say that I didn't laze about the house all day. I almost worked enough to justify the gas I used to get to and from work.:glare:

Morning all, popped in while I'm able to. Might not be on much today as we have a developing PC problem.
Errrh, however did we manage before the internet. I've forgotten!
Hope you get it sorted soon... and I feel your pain, one of the drives on my desktop PC is crapping out, replacing it tonight. Thank God for the back-up laptop! :biggrin2:

OMG - you put ice in it! I was told that is a distinctly American thing to do - but perhaps they have changed their ways since I was over in Scotland
This is from the island we got married on - good stuff - not too peaty

Neesy you are right about the ice, no Scot would dilute a Malt with frozen water!
Thanks for the Arran Malt by the way, very smooth!

Thanks PA, or "Cheers" as we say over here. I do add ice occasional and ginger ale, when I fancy a "longer" drink. Meaning in a tall glass!

Thanks Flake, I've a IT man coming who we've used before. Known as the IT Wizard, so hope his "magic" works.
Posted a tune for you on the Song Game yesterday, "Chocolate Jesus" Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa. Enjoy.

Hi anyone! It's 4:00 a.m. here. I did go to bed at 10:00 p.m. Slept till 1:00 a.m. Been dozing sporadically on and off and finally said to Hell with this. So here I sit, coffee in hand, totally exhausted but still wide awake. I have been suffering from insomnia so bad this week. Yet I get through the days somehow with so much energy. Things are so busy at work, and I have so many notes I'm making for a meeting on Friday, my mind is racing all the time. I don't usually bring work home with me but this week for some reason, I have so many things to think about and plan that it's constant. Hopefully after Friday, when this thing is over maybe I'll get some answers I've been trying to get for a while about the running of this building and I won't be so fixated. I think it will help me. Having a solid plan for things will do a lot for me I think. Wish me luck.

Good morning Folken! I am doing the coffee and e-cigs thing at the moment. (I accidentally pretty much quit smoking real cigs... but that's another story.) Planning out my day, fooling around here... as one does.
Let it be known that I think Dean Koontz is a good writer, millions of people all over the world read and love his work. He's probably a really nice fellow as well.
I just like teasing about him. I've made up a bunch of stuff about him in my head for the simple reason that it amuses me. I imagine him as antagonistic toward Stephen King. I also imagine him periodically signing on here incognito to "troll" King, his work and his constant readers. I don't know why this idea delights me so, but it does. There is no accounting for imaginary friends... or enemies either.

I like Koontz too, but I do love your teasing. Deliberating bashing an author is one thing, but you do it with fun intentions, and no malice at all. Just don't start the erotic fan fiction, will ya? That, I don't think I could take.:nope:

Hi Flake, I see there is some activity on here this morning. I don't feel so alone. Hubby is also up. He is in on his computer as well. We are a well suited pair, he and I. At least we seem to keep the same schedule. When I next visit my doc, which will be later this month I will be asking him about sleep aids if it won't interfere with the other meds I'm on.

Don't forget the warm baths, lavender (if you're not allergic) in your pillowcase, reading, milk and honey... soothing music etc. I hope your doc will have something to help you also.

I do warm baths, can't do the scents thing because it affects my breathing. I try listening to audiobooks that are sometimes so boring, that they should make you sleep. But it's just a temporary thing, I know. It will get better.
