Hello, I am new here and excited to be a part of this forum. I don't suppose I have to say that I am a HUGE fan of Stephen King (why else would I be here) but he is my favorite author and the only author who has written such amazing stories that I will read them over and over again. Mr. King is also the only author who has written certain passages in books that capture feelings I have had to a T! For example, in his book Wizard and Glass, in chapter 6 "Closing the Year" he writes, "There is a kind of echo in the bright air, a yearning for other places in the blood, a loneliness in the heart that sings like the wind." Those words perfectly capture what I feel every year during autumn.
I not only love to read but I love to write. Most of my writing consists of poetry but I am currently, and slowly, working on a short story. Last year I was rereading The Dark Tower 7 and became inspired to write a poem about someone in my life, using references to the book in my poem. I would like to post it here but am not certain of the proper forum topic.
I also very much enjoy stories by Stephen Kings son, Joe Hill. When I first started to read his books I didn't realize he is the son of Stephen King but his writing did feel very familiar to me. The day it dawned on me that Joe is Stephen's son it was like being struck by lightening and I was elated!
