I went to reply to a post and I got an error message that said I have to first post in the newbie section before I can reply to other posts. well I have already done that a few days ago and got some nice replies. so I gues I will just copy and paste the newbie post again below so I can use the forum

hi all. man im glad and wish I would have started reading sk sooner. read my first king book of 11/22/63 really bc im a kennedy fanatic. wow I was blown away. since then I have read mr. Mercedes/ revival/ blockade billy/ full dark no stars/ the long walk/ tommyknockers( the 1st part was superb but part 2 and 3 kinda not) and needful things. right now reading the stand and have some questions but I will ask just one. on page 133 there is a mention of Madonna. but from what I know this is the uncut version and written in 1978. pretty sure she wasn't around till like 86 or so. what gives. glad to be part of the forum and cant wait to get to know you guys and gals.

well I ve tried to reply and its still telling me I have to introduce myself first in the newbie section which I did a few days aga and then again today and im still getting the same message when I go to reply that I have to post in the newbie section. thinking maybe this forum doesn't really have the tech to run a forum correctly. might have to dip and find another king forum. hope not cause ive just become a fan of him just last year.

I remember the thread, chief...and now that you mention it...when I went to look for it a second time I couldn't find it where...it should have been? There was something hinky about it, anyway, and I had to look for the thread...somewhere...in Written Works? I dunno. Something. But yeah, I'd replied there and it is on page 126 in my copy...as I recall...and yes, that is about Madonna the singer, not Mary the mother of Jesus as I wondered initially. End of chapter...either 16 or 17...something about Larry Underwood, then that bit about Madonna. Poetic license I guess...I think when the uncut version came out they musta allowed him to make some changes.

Is this ( Chief ) the only user you have with this MB? Because if you have created another account, then the software will require you to post to the newbie forum before you post elsewhere to the board, with each account. (also, your messages are moderated until you reach 100 posts, so may not show up right away until you become unmoderated.)

yea the second time I comfirrmed my account it went to a different email address so maybe I confirmed from 2 email addresses. this is the account an email address I use. the other one I haven't touched in years. is there a way to delete the other one. I don't even know what my name is there or since I don't know the name or password I could probally just never use it again.

So, you would like the Chief account deleted, is this right? If so I think you will have to provide Jordan with the email address used for that account.
(I'm wondering how you posted from it if you don't know the details? :umm: )
