I wish I could get to PEI this summer. The last time we were there was an. Acadian anniversary and it was fabulous. There were people in period costumes and I met someone pretending to by my own ancestor. She was at a museum of my ancestors home.
This year is the 150th anniversary of confederation and it is a 70 day party down there.

I was in Charlottetown last week -- learned a lot about the confederation conference. They were gearing up for today's festivities. 150th anniversary of the conference but only 147 for the country.
Happy Canada Day to our polite friends to the north! (And to the east, if you want to get technical about it.)
