Wow, that brings back memories, I used to have loads of Matchbox cars, I've still got a book I got when I was a kid called "Mike and the Model Makers" about an American kid who comes on a visit to London to the Matchbox factory to see how they were made.
When i was a lot older I used to drive a bus that went past the factory in Hackney, derelict by then unfortunately.

Same year and color as my first car, only mine was a 4-door hardtop.
All the years of picking up my son's Matchbox cars collection off the floor so I wouldn't step on one--again--probably had something to do with my picking that image.
