I think the green mile series and the first 2 or three dark tower books. Also joyland and Colorado kid.

um, i have all of the above-mentioned in Hardcover.

i also prefer a HC collection. i have all HC releases, and for the most part it wasn't too challenging (PS edition of Colorado Kid, for example).
for those works that were not released in HC (Creepshow) or cost-prohibitive instances (Cycle of the Werewolf HC) where i own the SC, i'll eventually have them custom bound in HC.

Right off the top, the only ones I can come up with that have never been in hardcover are two rarities--Six Stories and The New Lieutenant's Rap. Be ready to pay big $ for these.

You could add The Plant to that list. In fairness, though, The New Lieutenant's Rap and the original publications of The Plant were never intended to be for the general public. They were given by Stephen as gifts to friends and business associates.

I stand corrected. I had forgotten about The Plant. I don't agree that Six Stories was not intended for the general public, though. It was publicized in some of the the SF magazines. That's how I got my copy.

<Edit> I just realized you hadn't mention Six Stories in your response. Sorry.
