Hello people this is my first post. I would love to be able to contact Stephen somehow regarding the strange coincidences which have happened to me while reading his books and watching the films and would love to hear if he has an explanation and if other constant readers have had his books break through into their world. The first and scariest happened when i was about 12 years old and was watching The Shining with my parents very late at night about 1.am I went to the toilet during the ad break and there was an old woman with her face pressed against the glass on the front door. Of course i screamed being already spooked by the film and my father went to the door. She reckoned she lived in our house and was obviously not very well. So we let her in and called the police. It turned out she walked out of a care home a few days earlier and walked about 30 miles to get to our house. She was very scary looking. They took her back and all was well.
I read the Dark Half about a year or so after and as i finished the last page and closed the book a sparrow squeezed under a gap in my bedroom door and flew around the room, it took a long time to get it out the house. Since then i have had lots of strange things happen connected to Stephen King books such as light bulbs popping a key moments in books, related songs playing on the radio at key moments in the books and well just too many strange things to mention in one thread..
And thats what got me into Stephen King books. I love the Dark Tower series, i didnt want Roland to go to the top of the tower because I knew that was the end. I had a realy cool idea of what was in there and I will put it on this forum, but its gonna take me a while to put it into words. Thanks for reading this x x
