Longtime Constant Reader from America's most haunted city, where it's soooooo coooooold right now. Of course, cold by NOLA standards is a big ol' belly laugh for my nawthin' friends. (Bev Vincent was recently talkin' about how he was expecting 6-8 hours of freezing weather in his corner of Texas--I told him we were expecting 6-8 minutes of chilly weather. Brr.)

Used to frequent the SS King boards, way back in the day. Had no idea the SK message boards were so cool now--I plan on spending a lot of time here, as discussing King's work is one of my very favorite things to do.

I'm a quarter of the way through Revival right now. I'll reserve final judgement until I'm finished, but right now, man... Harlan Ellison once described King's body of work as a series of peaks and valleys (pretty much applies to any prolific artist, don't it, Uncle Harlan?), and if Revival sticks the landing, I think it's gonna be one of those peaks.

One topped by a big ol' lightning rod.
