I have a ? about a couple books I have, if anyone could be so kind as to help me out as I have just started to collect. I have looked through the listing to determine 1st ED but I am stumped w/ 2 books that I have (2 of ea.).

The Dead Zone First Pub. in 1979 by The Viking Press
( The other Dead Zone, states the same as above but has a # series near the bottom of the pg.
10 9 8 7 6 5

Fire Starter First Pub. in 1980 by Viking Press

(other Fire Starter, states same as above but also has a # series 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2

I do not want to take the chance of getting rid of the true 1st Ed's, so your knowledge would be of great help. TY,Tee

The series of numbers tells you which printing the book is. If there is a one it is 1st printing, if there is a two it is second printing and so on.
