The Red Cross has an ongoing project so that you can send holiday cards to American Servicepeople. The deadline is coming up fast (December 6th) but there's still time if you want to get on it.

The details are here: Holiday Mail for Heroes | Ways to Help | American Red Cross

I'm having a group of friends and homeschoolers over tomorrow to write out a bunch of cards, then I'll drop them right in the mail. They should make it without having to overnight them, but even later in the week they can be overnighted. :)

It's nice that the Red Cross will do this, because you can't just send a Christmas card to "Any Serviceperson" any more (thanks, jerky Anthrax people >:-( ) They have volunteers actually open and read every single card before it gets passed on, so no one gets hurt. It's a crying shame that we have to do this, but I'm glad someone's willing to!
