How far back can you go to find a US President who still has living Grand-kids?

It's got to be John Tyler's grandchild, I heard about this guy a couple years ago.

In a way it's not too shocking when you consider that men can father children well into their 70's. My grandfather was born in the late 1800's and served in WW1 (he was already too old for WW2). And I'm not even old...yet.

Same with me. My grandfather was born in 1887. He married my grandmother when he was in his late forties and she was seventeen. (Remember-- they lived in Appalachia. :biggrin2:)

Here's an interesting story about a wife long outliving her husband:

James Longstreet was a famous Confederate General in the Civil War. When he was seventy-six he married his second wife, who was thirty-four. He died in 1904 but she didn't die until 1962. She was ninety-nine at the time of her death and John F. Kennedy was president.
