It's trash pickup morning, so I'm keeping an eye on the cans out front till I leave. I have to drive four hours each way today in the light little red beast, so not completely looking forward to it. For a change, it might be less windy in Wyoming than here. Might.

Wow - y'all must have gotten it big time! Everybody OK? I haven't turned on the news yet this morning. I did hear from a few people that what had been heading out way hit Tupelo - we didn't get much after the morning. I think we'll get some rain today, but no storms. I'm sure Mother Nature will wait and let loose on us this weekend - it is the Memphis in May Music Fest and we all call it Mud Fest - you must wear rubber boots and a rain poncho - and it will rain all weekend. It does during the fest every year.

We did not get it near as bad as they were calling for but Lincoln county got it pretty bad,A couple of deaths and alot of lost homes. I feel for them. Today seems to be fairly dry, chance of severe thunderstorms this afternoon. Everyone stay safe.

Night before last we got 12 inches of fresh snow on the majestic Mount Hood. Today it was pushing 70 and sunny. Oregon is not for the easily confused. Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome. Kind of strange starting a whole new chapter in life at 53. Have my second book headed out in May. Life is a wonderful thing.

Really nice yesterday in England. I even went the shops in shorts! Haven't done that for about 7 months. It was about 20 C which is just under 70 in American money, but with strong sun and no breeze.
