Dio's mail box:55 gallon? I don't live on Redneck Road, let me tell ya.
Update... Any cars parked on the side of a road in the township will be towed. Just the top of the mailbox is showing above the snow. But at least it's still standing.

Has anyone seen my keys?
LOL. So, so true. Not looking forward to all the cleanup tomorrow. My wife said to make sure to put food out for the birds tomorrow. The feeder closest to the house looks like a giant white phallic symbol. Last thing on my mind is trudging through a couple feet of snow to clean off and fill feeders. But sadly I'll do it anyway.Hey Dio. PA hey?

Dear Diary - My move to Pennsylvania
AUG 12 Moved to our new home in Pennsylvania. It is so beautiful here.
The hills are so majestic. Can hardly wait to see them with snow covering
them. I love it here.
OCT 14 Pennsylvania is the most beautiful place on earth. The leaves
are turned all the colors and shades of red and orange. Went for a ride
through the beautiful mountains and saw some deer. They are so graceful,
certainly they are the most wonderful animals on earth. This must be
paradise. I love it here.
NOV 11 Deer season will start soon. I can't imagine anyone wanting to
kill such a gorgeous creature. Hope it will snow soon. I love it here.
DEC 2 It snowed last night. Woke up to find everything blanketed with
white. It looks like a postcard. We went outside and cleaned the snow
off the steps and shoveled the driveway. We had a snowball fight (I
won), and when the snowplow came by, we had to shovel the driveway
again. What a beautiful place. I love Pennsylvania.
DEC 12 More snow last night. I love it. The snowplow did his trick
again to the driveway. I love it here.
DEC 19 More snow last night. Couldn't get out of the driveway to get
to work. I am exhausted from shoveling. Stinking snowplow.
DEC 22 More of that white crap fell last night. I've got blisters on
my hands from shoveling. I think the snowplow hides around the curve
and waits until I'm done shoveling the driveway. Jerk!
DEC 25 Merry Freaking Christmas! More friggin' snow. If I ever get my
hands on that S.O.B. who drives that snowplow, I swear I'll kill the
jerk. Don't know why they don't use more salt on the roads to melt the
freaking ice and snow.
DEC 27 More white crap last night. Been inside for three days except for
shoveling out the driveway after that snowplow goes through every time.
Can't go anywhere; car's stuck in a mountain of white stuff. The
weatherman says to expect another 10" of the garbage again tonight. Do
you know how many shovels full of snow 10" is?
DEC 28 The freaking weatherman was wrong. We got 34" of that white crap
this time. At this rate, it won't melt before next summer. The snowplow
got stuck up the road and that jerk came to the door and asked to borrow my
shovel. After I told him I had broken six shovels already shoveling all
the junk he pushed into the driveway, I broke my last one over his freaking
head.
JAN 4 Finally got out of the house today. Went to the store to get food
and on the way back a stupid deer ran in front of the car and I hit it.
Did about $3,000 damage to the car. Those freaking beasts should be killed.
Wish the hunters had killed them all last November.
MAY 3 Took the car to the garage in town. Would you believe the thing
is rusting out from that stupid salt they put all over the road?
MAY 10 Moved to Georgia. I can't imagine why anyone in his or her
right mind would ever live in that god-forsaken state of Pennsylvania.
Excellent project and you're almost self sufficient at your vacation home. Can you sell some electricity to your neighbors when you're not there and the electric grid is down? Or at least trade for some of that excellent Russian vodka? I looked into solar panels a few years back but their cost was prohibitive. The Chinese made panels are inexpensive now but the state subsidies for solar energy here have ended.
Great job you did. You should be proud of your resourcefulness.
And no worries... your command of English is quite good.
Beautiful...Thanks for respond!
This weekend's photos:As for the alternative electricity in Russia - there are no any subsidies from the government. I planned to enhance my solar station this summer, but our currency is extremely crashed for the last year and now i'm not able to buy anything in dollars.
Last year this project total cost was about 2000$, mostly because i did it by myself.
The legislation doesn't include the possibility of selling some extra electricity to other consumers. And fortunately i don't drink any alcohol, so i'm not interest in vodka

Welcome - we have had a couple of Russians on this board - have fun shoveling or using that snow blower-12F this morning, about 8 inches of snow over the last night. That's all you should know about the weather in central Russia
Thanks! Had a lot of funny shoveling yesterday, but this morning my waiste told me, that it was too much fun But it's ok, coz i found 30 mins to watch the threads here, smearing my back with the ointment.Welcome - we have had a couple of Russians on this board - have fun shoveling or using that snow blower
Your English is excellent - way to go with the solar power hook-up - it sounds quite complicated!Huh, can tell you a real story about how i had been trying to use an alternative energy
I live in downtown, but in my country there is a kinda tradition - most of peoples have both an apartments and a vacation home. The second one is usually a small-to-average house (mine is 1200 sq. ft.) that has not a big surrounding area (mine is 6 000 sq. ft.), located at a distance of 20 to 50 miles from the city.
The vacation homes are basically used at the warm season from april to october, but some guys use them all the year round.
We're suffer from lack of electricity at our vacation home, because of power lines - they are old and were built in Soviet Union, so they need to be repaired more often, then we want it to be.
As a result, last summer i finally decided to get it over. I've bought a solar power station kit at one of the Chinese online stores. It took one month for me to assemble and solder 4 x 500W solar panels. A few weeks later i've mounted them on the south end of the roof, using a special fixtures (welded earlier by me) that holds them angled to a horizon. The panels were also connected to 5 x 100 Amps per Hour exide accumulators, which were connected to the home's electricity network via an inverter.
Finally i tested it and made the conclusion - this system could be used as a backup supply, it generates about 1800 Watts on a sunny days and 400 Watts if cloudy. Thanks to accumulators - it's now possible to use a fridge, satellite TV, LED illumination and other consumer electronics non-stop for 15 to 20 hours, depends of how many devices are working at the moment.
I've made a plenty of mistakes in that message, sorry, i'm a bit tired today
I'm fine. Just a bit worried about that lizard that's still heading in for the weekend.....
Oh thanks! Nice to hear these warm words!Your English is excellent - way to go with the solar power hook-up - it sounds quite complicated!
I just stole picture # 4 - it looks great as my desktop background. Thanks for respond!
