Dear Stephen King,

I am absolutely in with this girl, and it's not that she doesn't like me back, but she really isn't ready to date anyone at the moment due to past discrepancies. I feel as though the only way to help her see that I am not like the guy(s) who have wronged her in the past, is by showing her that I truly care about her. She is a die hard fan of all your written works, especially your series, The Dark Tower. She also aspires to become a writer. If it would be at all possible, I was hoping you could autograph one of your books and possibly a head shot, preferably in the section of the first book in your series, The Dark Tower, the section in which you talk about the magic green paper. I couldn't begin to describe how much I would appreciate such an act. If it is at all possible, please reply and I will provide the necessary information needed to personalize the autograph. P.s. I have recently began reading your series, The Dark Tower, and though I am only half way through The Drawing of the Three, I must say your work is the best I have ever read. The way in which you write is so vivid, that I feel as though I am on the long strip of beach with Roland and Eddie Dean, wearily watching the shore for lobstrosities. Surely if she is the right lady for you then a Stephen King signature should have no bearing on whether she falls madly, deeply in love with you?

I'm sorry but in order for him to write the number of books that he does, attend signings, readings, interviews and to also spare some good quality time for his family, (he has grand-children now) something had to give.

I might as well just buy jewellery, at least that way it would be personalized. A personalized autograph on a book from her all time favorite series in the only to show how much thought and struggle went into it, not some monetary gesture.

Thank you for your concern, clearly I lack the means to win this girl over with my words or else i would have done so already. I'm depressed because the one thing I believe in(love) is failing me and there is nothing I can do.
