I lose my happy thoughts when going to Walmart. There are like line a mile long and like three checkouts. The self checkout lanes are even a protest of my mine. I do not think that they are paying me to check out my own items.
Sometimes I will go to Kroger just because the lines are short, they take my items out of the cart, bag them, put them back in the cart, and will even offer to put them in my car. The cashiers and guys that bag the groceries are always very friendly and seem happy.

We have Fred Meyer here, which is a Kroger chain. They definitely treat their employees better than Wal-Mart. I mean, for starters, they've never locked them in overnight but also they typically don't need to get food stamps to survive.
